  • How many hours a day do you wear your brace ?

    • When I wake up in the morning, I take off my night brace, put on my day brace and get dressed. I wear my day brace until early evening (about 11-12 hours) then I am out of both braces for an hour or so in the evening, then it's into my night brace and ready for bed, and I wear my night brace until the next morning, when it starts all over again !

  • Does it hurt ?

    • No, not really. But sometimes I get hot and itchy. I wear a 'special' Tee shirt under it to keep it from rubbing against my skin. But sometimes wearing a Tee shirt, my brace, and then
    regualr shirt, it gets hot !

  • Are there activities you are not allowed to do ?

    • Not gymnastics, because I twist and turn too much. Anything else that I can do while I am wearing my brace, I am allowed to do.

  • Do people make fun of you because you wear a brace?>

    • No. People just want to know what it is, and why I have to wear it.
